Well, this sucks, no money for travel this month. And there are a lot of places I would like to visit, but this is an option - I still believe good grates guarantee a Erasmus scholarship for next year. This year Erasmus was quite disappointing, options were Vienna, Bordeaux, Munique, Upsalla, and Angers. No eastern Europe, England, or a vibrant capital like Amsterdam, or Barcelona (well, I know both of them all ready, so absence of the element surprise is a plus).
I have no illusions. Small cities do not prepare you to face reality after you finish your studies. They make you soft, there's little to do on weekends, and no much of a rhythm during labour times. If your grates are above the majority, without much effort, you start to think your just made a bad choice. (I could be studding in a more competitive ambiance, on a better university, or at least on a more amusing city!)
There's 2 places I'm going in this short vacations (close to doorstep) so I'll try to get myself in a positive mode. And take some good pictures.
